Nice reviews! I have to admit that as of today I am closer to the
front cover than to the back one, but I’m making good progress.
There is one question that occurred to me dirung reading:
What is the sense of ‘subjective’ relevant to ranking?
It may be *biased*: by self-interest, by some arbitrariness
in decision making (what counts an integral part of a building)
or distorted categorization in psychophysics (as in the the perception
of phonemes or color). And we do have a little understanding of
how some of these biases operate. Topic for another book, maybe.
